Biodiversity Live! A global animal encounter for KIDS with Rob Mies

Date:
Sun, 05/19/2013 - 3:00pm
Place:
Library Hall

Biodiversity rules and it’s live in Libary Hall!

This mid-day program is tailored especially for kids.

Get up-close and personal with animals from around the world. Conservation biologist Rob Mies (a.k.a., Steamboat's favorite "bat guy")  returns with a new set of live wild friends. Learn about the largest and smallest animals living on Earth today, and hear about strange and wonderful adaptations animals make within their own environments.

During this free program you will meet a two-toed sloth from South America, a barred owl, an Australian bearded dragon and a striped skunk.

This is a multi-media presentation in honor of  International Migratory Bird Day. Learn about the interconnectedness of all life on Earth, and the part humans play in this delicate web...plus there will be an opportunity for close encounters with these exceptional creatures outside their natural habitats.
