"Longing for Stories"
In researching our ancestors we find a lot of names and dates and places, but what we really want, indeed long for, are stories from the past. This month's meeting will focus on getting those stories down on paper. Participants of the Genealogy Writers Group will share two stories they've written: one about an ancestor and one about themselves, since we are the story writers for the next generation(s) of genealogists.

If you'd like to share a story you've written, please come prepared with a short piece (3 pages maximum). If you'd like to try it out before the full group meeting on January 24th, come to the next Genealogy Writers Group on Thursday, January 17 at 1:30 pm in the Small Meeting Room (library upstairs). In either case, please let Val know (vdavia@steamboatlibrary.org) so we can plan a meeting agenda.
