September Genealogy Club Meeting
Join us to welcome two guest speakers, Patricia Roberts and Dina Carson of the Boulder Genealogical Society.
Pat's talk: "A Nation of Immigrants, a Nation of Migrants: U.S. Migration Patterns"
“I’m descended from 3 brothers who arrived in America early. One went north, one went south, and one went west.” Ever heard that one? Well, it probably didn’t happen that way, but let’s explore together some of this country’s migration routes. Early American roads were rough and getting from one place to another was challenging. Some roads began as Indian hunting trails as early as the late 1500’s, growing into well traveled traces, which then developed into rough roads over the next 300 years. These migration patterns may have left genealogical clues to your ancestry. You just didn’t know it!
And Dina will speak on "Gorgeous Graveside Photography: 50 Thinkgs I learned While Photographing 50,000 Tombstones and Grave Markers."
Everyone is welcome to this free event.
