The Sketchbook Project is a global, crowd-sourced art project and interactive, traveling exhibition of handmade books. The mission is to allow anyone to be able to participate in art and to create a collection of work that represents the current state of artists worldwide
Contribute your thoughts, images and tales from Steamboat Springs to the global story.
Don't even say, "But...I'm not an artist."
We have people from all kinds of backgrounds in our community. We are students, seniors, scientists and skiers. We are travelers, hobbyists, dreamers and activists. We are working and retired and passionate about so many diverse and interesting things. We are everyone from Olympic athletes to fifth generation ranchers.
Bud Werner Memorial Library implores you to use the word 'sketchbook' as a loose term for your experimentation in creativity. These blank pages are the bastion of prose, photography, poems, doodles, paintings and passionate thoughts and experiences.
Steamboat, show and tell any story – any way you like.
Join tens of thousands of people in this global, traveling art library. Anyone of any age or walk of life can participate in art – and the Library wants to engage our community first-hand in the creation and enjoyment of artistic expression.
