The Chosen One This book is so sad but so good! The Chosen One by is about a girl named Kira who lives in an isolated community of polygamist -people who have more than one wives. Kira is old she must marry her elder, cruel uncle who already had 7 wives and leave her large, loving family of 20. Kira has not been following the rules, she has been reading books from a mobile library (forbidden) and has had secret visits (forbidden)with a boy Joshua, who she wants to desperately marry. Kira must make a difficult choice to stay of to go! How dramatic! I enjoyed this tale because it was very different than books I have read before; it was placed in an interesting environment. I knew some what about that life style from watching the TV show on TLC Sister Wives! but this story had more of an impact and seemed so real. The book is sad, suspenseful, and adventurous. I would recommend this book to everyone but I think girls with open minds will enjoy this unforgettable novel the most!
