After Spring is a feature documentary produced by Jon Stewart that focuses on the Syrian refugee crisis.

After Spring is a feature documentary produced by Jon Stewart that focuses on the Syrian refugee crisis. With the Syrian conflict now in its sixth year, millions of people continue to be displaced. After Spring is the story of what happens next. By following two refugee families in transition and aid workers fighting to keep the camp running, viewers will experience what it is like to live in Zaatari, the largest camp for Syrian refugees. With no end in sight for the conflict or this refugee crisis, everyone must decide if they can rebuild their lives in a place that was never meant to be permanent.

"So much of it is spoken of but so little of it is witnessed," Stewart says of the refugee experience. Though Zaatari has been regularly visited by news organizations, "After Spring" offers a more observational document of life in the camp. "It allows you to stand back and let the stories speak for themselves. It's not judgmental. It's not propagandized. It's not polemic. It's just existential." -- AP

"After Spring is simultaneously a portrait of the dire situation the Syrian refugees are in and a tribute to their resilience." -- The Source

"Puts a needed human face on the critical refugee crisis." -- The Hollywood Reporter

The film made its world premiere at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival.
