BATS: A live encounter for adults with Rob Mies

Sunday, October 21, 2012 - 6:30pm to 7:30pm
  • Library Hall

Get up-close and personal with bats from around the world.

This program geared for adults is a live bat encounter with leading bat expert Rob Mies in celebration of the Year of the Bat.

Learn about the most up-to-date research and scientific findings while enjoying live bats from around the world.  White-nose syndrome, wind farms, and urban sprawl are just a few of the threats to one of Colorado's greatest natural resources.  Find out how to identify bats in Colorado, build a bat house, and slow the spread of the white-nose fungus.

This program is FREE.  However, donations will be accepted gratefully at the door in support of  Yampa Valley Land Trust and its conservation work in Northwest Colorado — including conservation of bat habitat (... and to help offset the cost of this program).
