Dr. Barbara Novotny and a team of experts explore non-pharmacological approaches for pain treatment, including acupuncture, physical therapy, cranial sacral, Reiki & gongs
Dr. Barbara Novotny is a board-certified family physician at Steamboat Springs Family Medicine. She earned her degree from Penn State College of Medicine and spent the first seven years of her career practicing full-scope rural family medicine in Alaska and on the Zuni Indian Reservation in New Mexico. She has worked in Steamboat for the last three years, where she enjoys taking care of patients of all ages and background. She has trained in and practices medical acupuncture, and has an interest as both a practitioner and a patient in alternative approaches to health.
 
She will be joined by the following experts:  Dr. Jennifer McPeek will talk about cranial sacral work. Finn Gersell, a physical therapist from Four Points Physical Therapy will talk about physical therapy. Gina Walker, owner and practioner of Energetic Health, will talk about reiki and gongs.
