An introduction to the world's oldest health care system with Ayurvedic Consultants Becky Obray and Tracy Zuschlag.

Learn more about your true nature, constitutional makeup and habitual patterns that might be creating unnecessary stresses on the body, mind and soul. Explore how Ayurveda can become a gateway to understanding your truest potential to balanced health and healing and how Ayurveda is as pertinent today as it was over 5,000 years ago.

What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is the world’s oldest health care system. It encompasses the science of health based on universal principles and insight into the connection between the body and mind and the laws of nature that structure all activities of life. This ancient Indian medicine dates back 5,000 years and means “the science of life.”

The laws of nature -- ether, air, fire, water and earth -- are within each living being on earth and govern our senses and biological functions. By understanding how these elements function in the body, mind and spirit, and how they manifest in each individual, we can understand our own connection to nature. Through this understanding we can learn basic principles of how to balance our health and prevent disease by looking at how we are affected by the four seasons (spring, summer, fall, winter), time (of our lives and of the day), food and lifestyle.
