The Many Faces of Little Women

THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL
Little Women has been captivating audiences since its release as a novel in 1868, yet we never seem to create a film version that we all agree is definitive. Each version is a classic to those who love It. Soon, the March family will be brought to life once again by an all-star cast, including Meryl Streep, Emma Watson, Laura Dern, Saiorse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet.
This two-evening discussion-based class will explore the life of Louisa May Alcott and the cultural significance of her most famous work, Little Women.
About the teacher
Jamie Lynne Burgess was a museum guide and educator at Louisa May Alcott's Orchard House from 2009 to 2014, where she portrayed May Alcott Nieriker in historical reenactments. She earned a master's degree in the life and work of Louisa May Alcott with renowned Alcott scholar Daniel Shealy at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and she has written and presented about the Alcotts and their lives in both America and France.
