National Novel Writing Month Virtual Kickoff

Monday, October 19, 2020 - 7:00pm to 8:00pm
  • Virtual Event via Zoom
A virtual community gathering for NaNoWriMo, November's fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing

The pandemic pause is bound to have stirred up some exciting stories you're anxious to tell. Meet up on Zoom to chat, ask questions, and build some writerly stoke with your fellow NaNoWriMo novelists — even if you're still just considering whether or not to write your novel this November.

Although in-person events aren't happening during NaNoWriMo this year, the Library continues to offer writing resources, pep talks, and a novel writing support network...starting with this virtual kickoff celebration.

What is NaNoWriMo?

Bud Werner Memorial Library is a proud supporter of National Novel Writing Month and the local writers who embark on 30 days and nights of literary abandon. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-words) novel by midnight, November 30.

Get started!

Interested novelists should visit the official NaNoWriMo web site to learn more about the national program and sign up.
