Snow Drawings near The Carpenter Ranch
- Carpenter Ranch, Hayden
A two-day snow drawing installation with environmental artist Sonja Hinrichsen on the Hayden haymeadows between The Nature Conservancy's Carpenter Ranch and the Yampa Valley Regional Airport!
The local community is invited to join Sonja Hinrichsen in creating this large, landscape-scale work of art on the snowy Hayden haymeadows on January 16-17, 2016. Participants must bring their own snowshoes, snacks and water.
Volunteer artists meet at the Carpenter Ranch in Hayden at 9:30 a.m., where specific instructions will be laid out for the day's creative work on the snow drawing. Due to limited roadside parking next to the snow drawing, groups will carpool from the ranch to the haymeadow.
Contact Adult Programs Coordinator Jennie Lay at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, dates you want to commit to working on the airport haymeadow snow drawing, and phone number.
Volunteer artists are urged to stop by the Snow Drawing Info Session on Thursday, January 7 in Library Hall. Sonja will share the vision and process with fellow artists, and final logistics for carpools, places to rent snowshoes, etc., will be discussed.
