The Winter Sojourn Author Study is a book discussion series designed to enhance the experience of reading our Winter Sojourn festival authors. Whether you choose to join in for one or all four titles, participants read and gather to talk about works from each of the featured writers. Bud Werner Library provides book copies on loan for each group discussion.

The discussion titles for Winter Sojourn discussion are:

The Cold Millions by Jess Walter

The Shadow King by Mazza Mengiste

Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law by Mary Roach

We Run the Tides by Vendela Vida

Led by Circulation Services Manager, Michelle Dover, we offer lunchtime and evening discussions. Participation is free, and the study is limited to 15 participants per meeting. The Library is still determining whether these will be virtual or in-person book discussions, with registration opening and updates about meeting locations expected by mid-summer.
