Read to Dogs

READ to Dogs - FAMILY

Saturday, April 6, 2019 - 10:45am to 12:00pm
  • Children's Storytime Room
Dogs can't read, but they LOVE listening to kids read! Come to this dog-themed Storytime followed by a chance to read out loud to a friendly, furry listener.

This is the last Read to Dogs Family program until our regular Read to Dogs program for elementary aged kids starts again this summer.

At 10:45 am, a volunteer from Heeling Friends will read a dog story out loud in the Storytime Room. From 11 am - 12pm, kids of any age can sign up for a 20-minute reading session with the dog and the dog's owner. Children who can read on their own can read to the dog, or if the child is young and doesn't read yet, the parent or Heeling Friends human partner could read to the dog and child.

Sign up on the day of the event, either by coming into the Kids' Desk or calling, 970-879-0240 x313.
