School's Out Snow Dye Craft

Monday, February 17, 2020 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm
  • Children's Storytime Room
Create, play and learn about color all while bringing new life to an old or even stained shirt, with a little dye and real SNOW!

School age kids are invited to kick off Blues Break by snow-dying at the Library on Monday, Feb 17th at noon in the Storytime Room. This tie-dye, STEAM-oriented program will create an artistic masterpiece out of an old or even stained shirt. Have fun tie-dyeing shirts inside, and be prepared with winter gear to go outside to snow dye. Please bring a shirt that is made of natural fibers such as cotton, linen, rayon, modal or bamboo. Sadly, tie dye designs will simply wash out of polyester and other synthetic fabrics.
