Two Storytimes Every Tuesday 9:30-10:00 am 10:30-11:00 am
Toddlers (18 months - 36 months) and their caregivers are invited to this FREE, fun-filled program filled of stories, songs and fingerplays. Toddlertime lasts about 30 minutes and is held in the Library’s Storytime Room. No registration required.
We will discuss the classic survival story and Newbery Honor book, Hatchet, by Gary Paulsen. After a plane crash, thirteen-year-old Brian spends fifty-four days in the wilderness, learning to survive initially with only the aid of a hatchet given to him by his mother, and learning also to survive his parents' divorce.
Children ages two to five, with a parent or caregiver, are invited to a half hour of stories, songs, flannelboards, and fingerplays. The storytime will be followed by a very simple craft that enhances the child's fine motor and early literacy skills. Free! No registration necessary.
As a courtesy to others and because of the craft activity, please no daycare groups at this storytime. You are welcome to come on the Tuesday or Wednesday storytimes.
