Step-by-Step, one-time setup instructions to stream Kanopy Videos on a mobile device such as a phone or tablet

Step 1: Download and Set Up the Kanopy App on Your Device

1. Navigate to the App Store on your mobile device.
2. Search for “Kanopy” and install.

Step 2: Create a Kanopy Account

1. Open the App and click “Sign Up.”
2. Follow the prompts to create an account and click on “Sign up.”
3. Open your email and search for an email from Kanopy to verify your account.
4. Click on the verification link and the email will open your browser, click on “Find Your Library”
5. Search for and select “Bud Werner Memorial Library”.
6. Opt to and enter “Your Library Card” number.
7. Once your library card has been validated you will be able to watch movies in the app.

Step 3: Browse and Stream Movies

1. Browse for Kanopy titles using the App or the library’s catalog.
2. When you have found a title you want to watch click on the “Play” icon (arrow) in the center of the movie graphic. Once "Play" is pressed, the appropriate number of "Tickets" will be applied. Every patron receives 50 tickets per month. 
3. You can only stream Kanopy content. No downloading for offline use.

Note: Video files can be quite large so make sure to have a good Internet connection before watching. Items return automatically after 3 days or 21 days, depending on the title. There are no overdue fines associated with this service or content.
