Get a Library Card
Bud Werner Library cards are free and available to all Routt County residents, short-term residents, and guests (in-person only). You may register online to expedite your application. Walk-ins are also welcome.
How does it work?
Once you submit your application, you will receive a 30-day temporary e-card and an email with your barcode number. This will give you access to our Digital Collections and Research Resources after resetting your password. This nonrenewable card will expire and be deleted after 30 days unless you complete the process by showing proof of address. Please note that children under the age of 14 need to visit us at the library with a parent or guardian in order to obtain a juvenile card.
You can do this by scanning in one of the following documents and emailing them to twilliamson@steamboatlibrary.org or by coming in person with a photo ID and proof of address.
- Driver’s license with Routt County Address
- Utility Bill
- Checkbook with an imprinted name & address
- Automobile Registration
- Voter Registration
- Rental/Lease Agreement
- Current Colorado Mountain College ID
- Property Tax Receipt
If you would like your physical card, please visit us at the circulation desk, and we would be happy to issue you either a wallet card or a keychain card.
