CAN YOU READ EVERY DAY?
The Library challenges kids ages 0-17 to see if they can read or listen to books every day from June 1 to August 31. Readers can create their own daily reading goal, with a minimum of 15 minutes each day, to earn great reading rewards.
EARN STORE CREDIT AT OTBP BOOKSTORE!
For every 30 days of reading, kids and teens can earn $10 to spend at Steamboat's only independent book store, Off the Beaten Path. Fast Math: that's a total of $30 to spend just for reading this summer! Show your paper log or your Beanstack log (on your phone) at OTBP to redeem. Please check the OTBP website for store hours and to pre-order books, if needed. OTBP store credit will expire on September 30, 2020.
TWO OPTIONS TO LOG YOUR READING
1. Log your child's reading online using the Bud Werner Library's Beanstack page. You can download the free Beanstack Tracker app, available for free on iOS devices or on Google Play. Beanstack also recommends books for young readers based on the young person's individual interests.
2. Log your reading on the paper brochure available at the Library through Curbside Pickup. Or download the PDF versions of the Reading Log, in English or Spanish, at the bottom of the page to print at home.
Weekly storytimes are hosted live on the Steamboat Library FaceBook page every weekday, Monday thru Friday at 10:30 am (mountain time).
