Library Hall

Library Hall may be used for meetings or performance by non-profit, private, and for-profit groups, and is ADA accessible. Those using the space are responsible for set up, take-down, and clean-up.

Reservations must be made 72 hours in advance. Reservations will be accepted and considered "pending" until deposits and payment are completed. You will receive an email with a link to pay for your reservation and you will have 7 days to complete the payment. You will also be required to sign the Meeting Room User Agreement (external Google HTML Doc) and submit a Certificate of Liability Insurance (if alcohol is served). These must be received 2-days before the event when you pick up your key. 

Food, drinks and alcohol may be served in Library Hall, but serving alcohol is subject to applicable state laws and city ordinances. Refer to the City of Steamboat Springs Special Event Liquor Permit to determine if you need to obtain a Special Event Liquor Permit.  

If serving alcohol, you will also be required to obtain general liability insurance in the amount of not less than $1,000,000 as per the Bud Werner Memorial Library's User Agreement (external Google HTML Doc).

  • Dimensions: The room is 1700 square feet and shaped like a trapezoid. Its widest dimension at the Lincoln Ave. windows is 46 feet 9 inches, and its narrowest is 31 feet 6 inches at the kitchen. It is 47 feet 5 inches long excluding the entry and restroom areas.

Use Fees for Library Hall

Fees are collected online only via a credit card. The Library does not accept checks or cash for deposits or use fees. If the fee has not been paid within one week (7 days) of email notification to pay, the reservation will be canceled.

Users are charged for the time it takes to setup and clean the meeting rooms and Library Hall. If User needs to set up the day prior to an event or to clean up the day after an event, User is charged for all of the hours the room is unavailable to others.

A deposit of $120.00 is required for Library Hall for all non-library sponsored events. The deposit, minus a $5 administrative fee, will be returned after the use of the room if the room is left clean and undamaged and the key is returned.
