Trailmily, Tribulations and Triumph with Michelle Petix

Join Bud Werner Library and Rocky Mountain Youth Corps for an evening of tales from the trail. Michelle Petix has been working and volunteering for Routt County youth service organizations in a variety of positions since 1993; including Partners Mentoring and Rocky Mountain Youth Corps. In August 2022 Michelle completed a 165-day and 2,195-mile thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail!

In September, she launched Spitfire ProjectBased Consulting, LLC, specializing in supporting non-profit leaders by tackling the tasks that they simply don’t have time or expertise for.  Michelle has a strong passion for mentoring, everything outdoors, and finding something to laugh about (usually herself) whenever possible.

Come hear Michelle talk live about her AT adventure, and see more at The Trek Blog and on Instagram @mum.k.p

About Bud's Travel Tales

The Library's new once-in-a-while series to stoke your wanderlust when you're home in the Yampa Valley. In a town full of adventurers and armchair travelers alike, there are a lot of tales to be shared. If you have a story (and photos) from the road that you'd like to present to the community as a public talk, email Adult Programs Coordinator Jennie Lay with your idea: jlay@steamboatlibrary.org.
