As I remember it, my love affair with the written word and books began at the age of four when my mom took me to get my first library card from our neighborhood branch. I began possessing books, carrying them with me like an extra limb. I am drawn to words, sentences, stories, characters, created images, and sometimes -- despite the old adage -- the cover of a book. I'm a bibliophile; books make my living space a home-- wherever I may be -- and often there are even books in my bed. I was precocious and curious as a child, and I believe much of that came from being a bookworm. Books open up worlds and journeys to anyone who wants to enter their pages, and it is a joy for me to share what I have discovered.
