A documentary by historian Bill Jamerson about the Civilian Conservation Corps

This summer, during Michigan-based author Bill Jamerson's multi-media storytelling program about the Civilian Conservation Corps, he shared a clip of his film. Now we have a chance to see the entire story. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's federal works program created during the heart of the Great Depression was called the Civilian Conservation Corps. Roosevelt’s Tree Army planted over 484 million trees in Michigan, fought forest fires, restored riverbanks, built lookout towers, roads, fish hatcheries and countless other natural improvements to the environment. This film contains rare archival footage, combined with location cinematography and interviews with former CCC enrollees.
