The Climate Future Film Festival
- Library Hall
This intimate short-film festival explores our interior responses to many possible climate futures. Bill McKibben, co-founder of 350.org and founder of Third Act, is the program's Honorary Judge.
While climate change is front page news, in our quiet back pages many are mutely frightened. Or numb. Or grieving. Or outraged. Or feeling confused and hopeless. Others may be oddly celebrating a future of climate disorder. This festival of short films that are dramatic, comic, hopeful, despairing, satirical, surreal, documentary and animated, explores the full range of human and artistic response to what may be coming next.
Check out the festival program here. Run time is 2 hours.
BONUS! Local organizations that are doing climate resiliency work in the Yampa Valley will be present before and after the screening for additional community knowledge and engagement.
