About the speaker
Angel Hoffman is the Director of Community Engagement for the Colorado chapter of the Alzheimer's Association. She has been working in the geriatric field since the early 1990s. Her experience includes both long-term and acute care with a focus on providing support and education to people living with dementia and their care partners. She has a Master's of Art degree in Gerontology from the University of Northern Colorado and Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. Her motto for her work comes from the quote of Maya Angelou: "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you do, but they will never forget how you made them feel."
