  • Children's Storytime Room
Join us to learn how to tie a design and then go outside to dye your masterpiece with snow!

School-aged kids are invited to celebrate Blues Break with snow dye at the Library on Friday, Feb 25th with 20 minute sessions beginning at 2pm until 4pm in the Storytime Room. To participate please bring a shirt made of natural materials such as cotton, rayon, bamboo, etc. Fibers such as polyester will not retain dye. This tie-dye, STEAM-oriented program will create an artistic masterpiece out of an old or even stained shirt. Learn how to tie a design inside, then be prepared with winter gear to go outside to dye your project using real snow. All school-aged participants are welcome; however, those under 11 years old will need an adult assistant. Masks required, indoors and outside, due to dye powder.
