The Dalai Lama — Scientist

Tuesday, June 14, 2022 - 7:00pm to 8:30pm
  • Library Hall
In anticipation of August's Tibetan monk residency at the Library, a free film & time to learn about volunteering for Mandala on the Yampa

Many years ago, a little boy was born in Tibet, and he was chosen to become the 14th Dalai Lama. But the little boy had a secret, locked inside his heart. In the new film, the Dalai Lama tells this unknown story about his lifelong journey into the world of science and technology, and how the world has changed as a result. With extensive, rare, never before seen footage, the film tells the very human story of the Dalai Lama that no one knows.

Come early or stay late to talk with us and learn about some of the ways you can volunteer during Mandala on the Yampa.

Starting at 6p.m., we'll be answering questions, sharing details, and signing folks up for community sand painting leadership, monk meals, monk lodging decorators and more!
