Following up on Bud Werner Library's recent screening of Race to Alaska, join us for a special coffee talk with sailor and former Steamboat Sailor Mark Bostrom, the Steamboat Springs High School graduate who just finished the R2AK. This was Mark's second R2AK, having sailed with Team High Seas Drifters since its inception in 2019.

Bring your questions for Mark and be ready to hear some exciting stories from the Inside Passage and his journey on the Dark Horse! We're gathering virtually on Crowdcast. Sign up at the link above to join us for the conversation.

And if you missed the film, a quick synopsis of the Race to Alaska:  "750 miles. Icy water. No motors. No support. The Iditarod on a boat with a chance of drowning or being eaten by a grizzly."

Mark is a Steamboat Sailor who now lives in Helena, Montana. He's Commodore of the Canyon Ferry Yacht Club at Canyon Ferry Lake. His High Team Drifters team has run four long distance adventure/endurance races to date: R2AK 2019  (10th place); Wild Horse Island, Sommers MT, 2020 (1st Place); Round Whidbey, 2021 (2nd Place); Washington 360, 2021 (1st Place); and R2AK 2022 (7th Place).

The documentary Race to Alaska is now in theaters. Our screening was a special one-night-only event. But you can watch the trailer below.
