Cell Phone Policy

We ask all Library users be respectful of each other and behave in a manner that does not disrupt other Library users or interfere with the normal operation of the Library.

Children's Library Use Policy

The Children’s Library Use Policy is intended to outline our commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for families and children. 

Collection Policy

The Collection Policy outlines the philosophies that create and shape the Library’s unique collection, the practices that maintain it over time and the guidelines that help the collection respond to community needs while protecting the collection from societal and political pressures. It ensures that the collection at Bud Werner Memorial Library aligns with the Library’s vision that all community members are curious, connected and intellectually thriving.

Data Breach Response Policy

The Data Breach Response Policy is intended to focus attention on data security, data security breaches and how the Library’s established culture of openness, trust and integrity should respond to such activity. The Library is committed to protecting employees, partners and patrons from illegal data breaches or damaging actions by individuals, either knowingly or unknowingly.

Display/Donation of Public Art

The purpose of this policy is to outline the policies and procedures by which the East Routt Library District, Bud Werner Memorial Library (Library) will accept donated or loaned art, or commission pieces for display.

Display Policy

Library displays and exhibits provide a responsive connection between the community’s needs, its collections, information technology, and diverse programming, by, in part, providing a variety of displays that inform and enrich the lives of people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

Meeting Room User Agreement

It is the policy of the East Routt Library District (Library) to allow organizations and groups (Users) to use Library meeting rooms when those facilities are not needed for activities sponsored in whole or in part by the Library. Such permission is revocable and does not constitute a lease. Permission to use a meeting room of the Bud Werner Memorial Library does not imply endorsement of the aims, policies, or activities of any group or organization.

Non-Discrimination

The East Routt Library District Board of Trustees (Bud Werner Memorial Library) agrees not to discriminate against persons because of their sexual orientation and any other persons protected under Federal and State non-discrimination statues. ~ Adopted by the Board of Trustees at their regular monthly meeting held April 24, 2002.

Patron Code of Conduct

The Bud Werner Memorial Library (Library) supports the rights of all individuals to free and equal access to the use of the Library without discrimination, intimidation, threat of harm or invasion of privacy.

Patron Privacy & Confidentiality

The library follows in accordance with Colorado Confidentiality Law (C.R.S. 24-90-119)  – Privacy of user records.

Programming Policy

Programming at Bud Werner Memorial Library aligns with the Library’s vision that all community members are curious, connected and intellectually thriving.

Public Internet Use Policy

The Bud Werner Memorial Library (Library) is committed to providing free and equal access to library resources and information through both physical and virtual materials, and technology including electronic resources, services, networks and computer access in order to meet the informational needs and interests of patrons.

Reconsideration Policy for Library Collections, Displays or Programs

The Reconsideration Policy outlines our philosophy and guidelines as it pertains to library collections, programs and displays.  As a living document, it assures that resources at Bud Werner Memorial Library align with the Library’s vision that all community members are curious, connected and intellectually thriving.

Solicitation, Petitioning and Fundraising Policy

Solicitation, petitioning, peddling and other interactions in pursuit of selling goods or services or, entreating library patrons or staff are prohibited in the Library.
